Pakistan enters into talks with IMF to complete review work: Ministry of Finance

ISLAMABAD21 November — The Ministry of Finance made it clear on Saturday that Pakistan was working closely with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to complete the review work without delay.

In a tweet, the ministry cleared up the false impression through an article published in the Financial Times about Pakistan’s IMF program.

The ministry said the argument in the article appeared to be from the personal views of some individuals, while the government never asked for the actual position.

“Pakistan was closely involved with the Fund to complete the review work without delay,” he said.

Pakistan is said to be sticking to its fiscal stabilization and economic reforms agenda.

“We want to dispel the false impression that an article in @FinancialTimes regarding Pakistan’s IMF program.

The argument in the article was apparently derived from the personal views of some individuals, while the government never questioned the actual position.

In this context, it is made clear that Pakistan is closely involved with the Fund to complete the review work without delay.

“Pakistan remains committed to its agenda of fiscal stabilization and economic reforms,” ​​the ministry tweeted.
