Pakistani students win prizes at Silk Road & Young Dreams Awards in Beijing

BEIJING, October 18 (APP) :: Pakistani students showcased their talent and won prizes in the speech, photography, music, song and sand painting competitions during the annual 3rd Silk Road and Young Dreams awards event held here .

The ceremony, hosted by Silk Road Cities Alliance, China Friendship Foundation for Peace and Development, Beijing Belt and Road Cooperative Community and Renong University Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies, was attended by participants from more than 30 countries.

Ahmed Farooq, deputy head of the mission, the embassy in Pakistan, Ahmed Farooq, awarded the event and handed out prizes among the winners.

Muhammad Ali Asad of Pakistan Embassy College Beijing (PECB) served as judge of speech contest.

The participants from Pakistan shook as usual and won hearts of the viewers of this platform through their speeches, singing, music and artwork. The students of the Pakistan Embassy College Beijing (PECB) managed to obtain some posts in different categories.
In the speech contest, Danish Yaqoob from Pakistan won first prize, while Abdul Rehman, a student from PECB, took third place.

Maaz Ali Nadeem, a student of PECB, won the most popular award in photography competition, while Areeba Ali and Thembekile, students of PECB won the excellence of awards for music and speech contests.

In addition, students from PECB were among the team that read the Health Declaration on the platform of Silk Road and Young Dreams.

This year, all the competitions were held online in the wake of Covid-19 with the theme Health – in the midst of this pandemic. ??

The contestants from around the world enthusiastically participated in the annual contest and spread colors with their illuminated minds and performance in all categories.
