ISLAMABAD, October 17 — Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz said the opposition’s performance took place despite being held in a hometown of Nawaz Sharif’s in-laws and PML-N stronghold .
He said the local representatives of PML-N, especially Pervez Rashid and Khurram Dastgir, should resign from their seats for failing to bring the crowd to the stadium to listen to the address of Maulana Fazalur Rehman.
In a talk show hosted by a private news channel on Saturday, the federal minister said that Imran Khan, by contrast, was leading a popular mass movement because of his national agenda in the interest of the people and the country.
He said there was no unity, faith and discipline in the opposition’s flop of undisciplined and disorganized crowds.
There was nothing for the national interest in the Gujranwala show by selfish and once competitive political groups with their different agendas, he said, adding that the speakers used derogatory language to create provocation and political anarchy in the country.
Shibli Faraz said that after 40 years, Nawaz Sharif suddenly became ‘revolutionary’ when he saw a strange situation against his corrupt political career.
