Nawaz Sharif spoke on Indian tone: Asad Umer

ISLAMABAD17 October — Asad Umer, Federal Minister of Planning, Development, Reform and Special Initiatives, said PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif spoke on an Indian tone while sitting in London.

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan had responded excellently to Nawaz Sharif’s unfounded and anti-state narrative that needed time.

The minister said in a private news channel talk show on Saturday that the world economies, particularly the US economy, have collapsed due to the COVID situation.

The Indian economy has had its biggest deficit during its 50-year history due to COVID. The second wave of Coronavirus has gripped the entire world, he added, saying the number of COVID cases could be increased in case of negligence.

Fortunately, our national economy has remained stable despite this situation, he said.

Asad Umer said that the prices of wrist and other foodstuffs indicate an increase around the world.

According to him, the government is taking action against sugar mafia, in addition to investigating the companies owned by Jahangir Tarin.
