Opposition fails to gather people for its Gujranwala show: Hammad

ISLAMABAD, October 16 — Industry and Production Minister Hammad Azhar said on Friday that opposition parties had failed to gather people for his show of strength against the government in Gujranwala and were driving about 15,000 people for the purpose.

The Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government as a public representative would respond politically to the opposition, he said while talking to a private news channel.

The minister said the government had provided infallible security to the opposition meeting and that the district administration had continued distributing water bottles and masks among the participants.

Meanwhile, he said in a tweet that the drones of the 11 party Gujranwala ‘Jalsa’ (public gathering) clearly showed a thin crowd with large empty spaces in the ground. The crowd does not respond either.

A striking contrast to PTI ‘Jalsas’, where the venue has always been full and resonates with Junoon,’ he added.
