Liability to continue no matter how many APCs have opposition: Shahbaz Gill

LAHORE, Sep 20 — Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communications, Shahbaz Gill, on Sunday called all party conference (APC) of the opposition ‘Pakistan Lootmar Association’ and said it was being held in Islamabad today for almost 5th time in a short span of two years.

He told a news conference here at the Press Information Department that Shahbaz Gill said there was a loud and clear message for the opposition parties that the accountability process would continue at all costs, no matter how many APCs they have.
He said the incumbent government would implement two agendas of human development and the other of accountability.

In response to a query, he said that the task of the government is to provide a favorable environment for accountability and rest is the task of the courts. Shahbaz Gill said opposition parties have not had as many APCs in the past. He said holding APCs so often showed their thirst for money laundering, which was still unsatisfying.

He said those who were going to attend the APC were big thieves, and unfortunately the event was a gathering of such elites who had never raised the poor of society.
He said the entire Sharif family, who had previously regarded them as the king of Punjab, were present today as court servants before Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

The special assistant said the passage of the money laundering bill is a problem for smugglers or corrupt people. Shahbaz Gill said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) had been involved in mudslinging against each other in the past.

He said the vision of the leaders of the ‘Lootmar Association’ was based on lies.
According to him, they call it political victimization, adding that those who always think of their personal interests can never give preference to national interests.

On cases against the Sharif family, Shahbaz Gill said they were afraid of liability. He wondered what were the businesses that helped Shehbaz Sharif increase its assets by 1000 percent. He said the main goal behind the APC was to get an NGO [National Reconciliation Ordinance], an agreement by which they could get away with their illegal wealth. Dr Asim is facing charges of money laundering of Rs 462 billion, Bilawal Bhutto of R5 billion, Sharjeel Memon worth R5 billion, Agha Siraj Durrani of more than R billion, Khursheed Shah is facing charges of illegal assets of Rs. 500 billion, etc., he added.

He said: ‘These two groups met at the APC today and the third group was a group offering’ hire a crowd ‘. “The Maulana [Fazl-ur-Rehman] uses children for his political motives receiving religious instruction, he claimed. Shahbaz Gill said that when the Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government came to power, the country’s economy was in shambles. He said Prime Minister Imran Khan was striving to stabilize the national economy.

Later, the COVID-19 crisis arose and the opposition thought that the situation would help them to end their liability. He said criminals always want chaos because such things fall in their favor. He said that during COVID-19, the incumbent government stood with the poor part of society. Prime Minister Imran Khan did not leave the poor alone during the coronavirus situation, adding that Pakistan was the only country where mosque was not closed during COVID-19.

He said some people make fun when Prime Minister Imran Khan talks about animal husbandry, but international research institutes say that poverty ends when some asset is given into the hands of ordinary people, which is a cow, a goat, a calf. can be, etc.
He said deserving people got their rights under the Ehsaas program without any discrimination. Reviving the country’s respect in the arrival of countries is another achievement, although there is still a long way to go, he added.

He said: “Allah, Almighty, has blessed us with respect for the Afghan peace process”, adding that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision of independence deserves respect for the country.
The government revived the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), giving the agricultural sector the highest priority. The Ravi Riverfront urban development project has been launched, the mainline 1 railway project has been started, the special assistant added.

Imran Khan has started long-term human welfare programs. The approval of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) bill by parliament was another milestone reached by the PTI government. Panagah (Shelter homes) are set up to facilitate needy people, he said.
